d’Arenberg – Scarce Earth Shirz range
Client: d’Arenberg Wines
Studio: Fuller
Rationale: A specific and quirky brief from legendary McLaren Vale wine maker, Chester Osborn – maintain the traditional d’Arenberg label elements (crest and red stripe) whilst incorporating a colourful abstract landscape depicting each wine’s point of origin. Additional to this, introduce a playful pixie to each label. A fun challenge indeed! Chester has often been referred to as the ‘pixie in the vinyard’ (that’s how the magic happens, after all) so the hint of a likeness of Chester in the pixie is certainly not coincidental. A series of five labels, each with unique landscape and pixie custom illustrations, was produced to represent some of d’Arenberg’s finest drops.
